Evan Peng
I am a third year undergraduate student pursuing a B.S in physics and mathematics and a M.A in mathematics. My research interests lie in theoretical and mathematical physics. I am fascinated by symmetries and the underlying mathetmaical structure of physical theories, and I to broaden exposure in high energy and condensed matter theory. I plan on pursuing a PhD in theoretical physics.

Beyond Physics:
I love photography and filmmaking. Particularly, whenever I am on a trip, I love shooting travel photos on my Canon R10. I am no movie buff by any means, but I had always been interested in the process of movie making. I have a strong admiration for filmmakers who make their visions come to life. I personally love writing and shooting short films.
I also love to cook unique and new dishes. I grew up eating the Chinese food that my parents made, but when I learned to cook, I learned from the western chefs on the internet. I was so interested by the differences in both the ingredients and techniques between these two different worlds of food, that I fell in love with creating new dishes combining both these worlds.
